A must-read site about T$R

Here you go, guys and gals. Go read Coconut's Blog, and then see how you feel about the corporate mega-structure at T$R. I do not know Coconut, I am not affiliated with Coconut, and I have no connections to his or her blog. I do know, that knowing what I know now about T$R, I would go back in time in a heart beat and take back my old subscription days. But, I'm not here to flaunt my own opinions. Go read the blog, and make up your own mind. :)

High Poly Information

There are a few kind souls out there devoted to bringing you info on the dreaded poly monsters...regular CC with absurd poly counts. If you've never heard of a poly count, don't fret. All you need to know is high poly counts = SLOOOOOW game play.

Reflex Sims Forum Closed

The Reflex Sims Forum and all of it's lovely downloads has been closed, apparently forever. The Reflex Sims regulars have been meeting here, so head over there if you are a lost RSF'er, or if you're just curious about the drama.

On the subject of...Paysites

I do not believe in paysites for Sims 2 CC. I do not support them. There are too many free sites for creators to host their items for me to buy into the "but my server costs..." argument. In addition, there are many creators who easily pay their hosting bills by placing a few ads on their sites. So, need to be paid? I don't think so.

You will notice many paysites listed on my site here, and wonder why I would even bother to list them. As mentioned, I didn't make this list to judge the creations or the creators.  Some of the sites in these lists are not sites I personally use. However, simmers have different opinions about what makes CC good. So here on this site, I just list. For any paysite listed on my site you will find a related "booty" link to PMBD. If you don't believe in file sharing, don't go there. It's that simple.

About this site.

The massive list of links began as a team project at a forum called the Mess Hall.  When TMH's founders began to lose interest in the site, I decided to move the whole shebang here to Blogger, where I can continue to add links to my hearts content.

I have been playing the Sims for many years now, and one of the best things about the game is the online community of amazing creators - objects, skins, clothing, mods - you name it! I wanted a way to categorize and organize all these websites into one easy-to-navigate list, so here it is. To use this site, you can either start with the content lists, or use the handy "labels" function for more specialized searches. You can also use the search box at the top left-hand corner of the page for really specific items.

It should be noted that this site began as, and remains, primarily a Sims 2 list site.  If you are looking for Sims 1 or Sims 3 sites, it is best to click on the label of the same name, and browse through the site download listings that way.  I no longer play Sims 1 and I've never played Sims 3, so I'm just not that familiar with the CC available. 

Also note that I only maintain descriptive labels for active sites and a handful of very unique retired sites.  Dead sites will be listed under the label, "Dead Sites," and those with archives of CC available will also have the label, "Archives." 

This really is a labor of love, and my attempt to contribute to the Sims 2 Community. If any links are broken, or sites are down, please let me know in the comments section, and bear with me - I update as I have time. Thanks, and enjoy.
